Our Story

Tom Garden, started Syrasoft, with humble beginnings of working out of a friend's garage (offer him a few beers and he'll regale you with stories of software development practices of the yore - when floppy disks were physically mailed to provide software updates). Having built the company from ground up, he is the wise old mentor that has groomed Sampath, a former associate at Syrasoft. Having recognised the need for a daughter company to share the technical workload, Tom charged Sampath with the task of setting the operation up at Bengaluru. And thus, Code Parva was born - the first Indian company to foray in this domain. Although Syrasoft finances their operations, Code Parva is an organisation that controls its operations, product decisions and culture. Sampath (Director), Preetha (Product Manager), Anitha (CTO), the forerunners of the team, sincerely believe that a good culture is instrumental in building a team where every stakeholder benefits. They hope to facilitate an environment where communication is devoid of hesitation, where ideas, irrespective of the person it comes from, get evaluated in an unbiased manner, here technical excellence, loyalty and courage is rewarded. They also do acknowledge that they, being mere mortals, stumble at times in meeting these objectives. But they learn from their mistakes and never stop trying. With their enthusiasm coupled with a touch of idealism balanced by a healthy shot of cynicism, they hope to build a promising place to build a career.

Our Product

With the boom of capitalism, ease of production and logistics, the average person in the world owns more material possessions than ever. Sentimental or otherwise, we always have a great reason to hold on to these possessions. But with the limited amount of real estate we own, we often have to part with them. This is where the self storage industry comes in. They compensate for the real estate deficit to help us keep our precious possessions. It has helped families hold on to their belongings while they move, provided a buffer for companies that downsized their operations - all for a reasonable price. The demands for the services of this industry were so high, that it's said to be recession proof.

Over the years, this self storage industry has grown into a 38 billion dollar behemoth, with its own challenges in logistics. This is what we, at CodeParva, hope to provide solutions for. We build management systems for self storage businesses. These systems provide an interface to maintain records of tenants, control access, manage billing, integrate third party software for payment etc. For later phases, we intend to build an entire suite of products, complete with business insight tools, electronic lock integration, payment gateways, a comprehensive CRM. With these features, we hope to provide a one stop solution for businesses of various sizes that work in this industry. It may all sound deceptively simple. But there are several challenges waiting for talented individuals to solve them. The biggest among them is our widely diverse customer base. Their needs vary based on several factors that are based on the size, demographics, location etc. Accounting for them all, is a fairly challenging task. As a consequence of this diversity, setting up standard business practices, consolidating a variety of user flows are some of the immediate problems we are working to solve.
